Where is Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinema?

Ben & Jerry's Openair Cinema is located at Ozone Reserve on the corner of Riverside Drive and Adelaide Terrace.

Can we buy tickets at the box office on the night of the screening?

Most of our sessions sell out online prior to the night of the screening, so get in quick and book now to secure your seat. However, if the session has not previously sold out then there will be tickets available at the box office on the night.

What is a Sundae Session?

Every Sunday is a Sundae Session with live music and free Ben & Jerr'ys ice cream before the movie. Please note that on very busy Sundays free ice cream sampling will stop around 7pm to ensure staff is not serving ice cream once the movie starts. So make sure you come down bright and early on Sundays to make the most of our ice cream!

What is a Star Lounge ticket?

Star Lounge tickets include a glass of Giesen wine (or a non-alcoholic beverage), reserved lounger seating, a warm blanket in case of chilly breezes, and service straight to your seat.

Of course, where films are rated appropriately. Kids aged 4 and under can join you for free (maximum 2 children per adult). All children 5 and over must have a valid concession ticket and under 18s must be accompanied by a guardian or parent at all times. You will find most ratings for the movies on our website. Please refer to the Australian Classification web site for information regarding the ratings of the movies.

Can I show my tickets on my phone to gain admission?

Yes, there is no need to print your tickets — save the trees! Just show your tickets on your phone when you arrive at the box office to gain entry.

What if it rains or gets cold?

Openair Cinemas are all-weather outdoor events that will go ahead in most weather conditions. Films will still be screened if it rains intermittently, so bring wet weather gear just in case of showers. If an event is cancelled for any reason, we will advise ticketholders via email and on our social media channels with as much notice as possible, usually around 4pm on the date of the screening. If you enter your mobile number at booking you will receive a text notification of any rain-out situation. If a session is cancelled for any reason, your tickets will be transferrable for any other night of our season.

What if I can't find my tickets?

Your tickets would have been emailed to you when you booked, so make sure you also check your junk email as they may have been filtered into there. If you still can't find them then send us an email as early as possible to and let us know the name and email address you booked with and which session you've booked for. If you only realise that you can't find your tickets when you're already on your way to the event then don't stress, just let the staff at the box office know the email address that you booked with and they can find your tickets for you.

Can we purchase food and drinks at the event?

Absolutely! We have a fully licensed bar and you can buy tasty food including pizzas, frosty beverages and Ben & Jerry's ice cream too! You can also purchase one of our Food & Drink combos to make a night of it and save (NB: combos do not include your entry ticket).

Can we bring our own food and drink to the event?

Yes, with the exception of alcohol. Absolutely no BYO and no glass or sharp knives on site.

Is this an 18+ event?

What should we wear/bring?

Along with your tickets, we recommend bringing an extra layer for when the sun goes down. Also, there are a few mozzies around at dusk so pack your critter spray. If you haven't hired one of our loungers then we'd also recommend bringing along a picnic blanket to stay cosy.

What are the seating arrangements?

Seating is unreserved, though Star Lounge tickets give you a reserved prime seating area, so come early to get a good spot. Loungers are available for hire (loungers come with Star Lounge seating). You may also bring your own picnic blankets and deck chairs but nothing too big as people will likely be sitting behind you and need to see the screen too!
